Advanced Psychic Vampirism Certificate

Course Syllabus: This course is designed for students who have a solid foundation in the theory and practice of psychic vampirism, and who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in advanced topics such as feeding techniques, shielding, shielding counters, psionics, and the Black Veil. The course will cover both the ethical and practical aspects of psychic vampirism, as well as the historical and cultural context of the vampire community.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate proficiency in various advanced feeding techniques, such as ambient feeding, elemental feeding, astral feeding, and remote feeding.
Identify and analyze different types of shields and their purposes, such as personal shields, group shields, environmental shields, and warding shields.
Apply effective strategies to counter or bypass shields that may interfere with feeding or communication, such as scanning, probing, hacking, cloaking, and masking.
Understand and utilize the basic principles of psionics, such as telepathy, empathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance, and precognition. Develop and enhance their own psionic abilities through exercises and experiments.
Explain and adhere to the Black Veil, a set of ethical guidelines for the vampire community that promotes respect, responsibility, discretion, and safety.
Appreciate and respect the diversity and complexity of the vampire community and its subcultures. Course Outline:

Week 1: Introduction to Advanced Psychic Vampirism
Review of the basics of psychic vampirism: definition, types, characteristics, needs, benefits, and challenges.
Overview of the course content and expectations.
Discussion of the ethical issues and dilemmas involved in psychic vampirism.

Week 2: Advanced Feeding Techniques I
Ambient feeding: how to feed from the energy of a crowd or a place without harming or attracting attention from individuals.
Elemental feeding: how to feed from the energy of natural elements such as earth, air, fire, water, or spirit.
Astral feeding: how to feed from the energy of astral entities or planes.

Week 3: Advanced Feeding Techniques II
Remote feeding: how to feed from a distant or absent source using a link or a proxy.

Week 4: Shielding I
The purpose and function of shields: protection, privacy, identity, expression.
The types and forms of shields: personal shields, group shields, environmental shields, warding shields.
The construction and maintenance of shields: visualization, intention, energy manipulation.

Week 5: Shielding II
The detection and analysis of shields: scanning, probing, sensing.
The countermeasures and defenses against shields: hacking, cloaking, masking.
The etiquette and ethics of shielding: respect, consent, honesty.

Week 6: Psionics I
The definition and scope of psionics: the use of mental abilities to influence physical reality.
The categories and examples of psionic abilities: telepathy (mind-to-mind communication), empathy (emotion sensing and manipulation), telekinesis (object movement), clairvoyance (extrasensory perception), precognition (future prediction).
The theories and models of psionics: psi factor (the unknown force behind psionics), psi field (the collective consciousness that connects all minds), psi energy (the fuel for psionic phenomena).

Week 7: Psionics II
The development and enhancement of psionic abilities: meditation, concentration, focus, awareness, practice, feedback, experimentation.
The applications and implications of psionics: communication, information, manipulation, exploration, creation, transformation.
The challenges and risks of psionics: accuracy, reliability, control, responsibility, side effects, backlash.

Week 8: The Black Veil
The history and context of the Black Veil: a set of ethical guidelines for the vampire community that originated from Father Sebastian Todd in 1997, revised by Michelle Belanger in 2000, further revised by Belanger in 2002, adopted by various vampire organizations.
The content and interpretation of the Black Veil: thirteen rules that cover topics such as respect, discretion, safety, education, community, identity, diversity, and accountability.
The critique and debate of the Black Veil: the strengths and weaknesses of the Black Veil as a moral code, the controversies and conflicts that arise from its implementation, the alternatives and revisions that have been proposed.

Week 9: The Vampire Community
The definition and scope of the vampire community: a global network of individuals who identify as vampires or have an interest in vampirism.
The subcultures and factions of the vampire community: sanguinarians (blood drinkers), psychic vampires (energy feeders), hybrids (both blood and energy feeders), donors (voluntary sources of blood or energy), otherkin (non-human souls in human bodies), therians (animal souls in human bodies), lifestylers (vampire enthusiasts or role-players), scholars (vampire researchers or historians), etc. The challenges and opportunities of the vampire community: communication, cooperation, representation, recognition, diversity, unity.

Week 10: Final Project and Presentation
Students will choose a topic related to advanced psychic vampirism that interests them and conduct a research or a creative project on it.
Students will present their project to the class and submit a written report on their findings or outcomes.
Students will evaluate their own learning and performance in the course.
